Within Nicki Minaj’s #3PeatFromParis song package, she finally answered many spectators’ call to respond to Remy Ma’s bars on “shETHER” with the release of “No Frauds.”
The aforementioned track also features her Young Money comrades, Lil Wayne and Drake, but most listeners’ focus laid heavily on her reported jabs at Remy. “What type of bum bi**h shoot a friend over a rap? What type of mother leave her one son over a stack?” Minaj then continued with more lyrical shots, this time stating that Jay Z failed to clear a verse for her album. Following the song’s release, Minaj aired out her thoughts on the rift by writing a lengthy caption on Instagram.
“The greats took 3 months to respond to diss records,” the “All Things Go” rapper wrote. “Queens don’t move on peasant time. Queens shut down Paris, then drop hits on #QueenTime.” She then announced a timeframe for when she thinks Remy should respond. “Now I got a countdown of my own for Sheneneh. U got 72 hours to drop a hit and I’ll give you half a million dollars if u can book ANY show or interview w/o mentioning the Queen name.”
In a recent interview with Wendy Williams, Remy spoke openly on the reason she and Minaj are at odds, and it has nothing to do with the music industry. “It was the behind-the-scenes things that you people will never know about as far as trying to keep me off of red carpets, and trying to make sure awards don’t go to me or ‘she’s not going to be in attendance,’ or trying to get people to make bad reports about my album sales to make me look less and to make her look better,” Remy shared. “When you’re trying to stop my bag, when you’re trying to stop me from taking care of my children, then I have a problem with that.”
