Streaming dominates how we consume music these days, and Spotify is one of, if not THE largest vessel to connect us to our favs.

Who surfed the digital waves the most in 2017?

The Chainsmokers, and Drake, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran (all men…) are the music giant’s most-streamed artists over all. Spotify’s chief content officer Stefan Blom told EWthat 2017 was The Year of Ed Sheeran. The Grammys disagreed.

In the most-streamed female artists category? Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Sia. Justice for Britney.
