Aaliyah’s angelic voice found its way back to the world through an unreleased track featuring the late Static Major and none other than Drizzy Drake. Titled “Talk Is Cheap,” the posuthimus collaboration is a smooth ride with the perfect blend of R&B voices and a rap verse from the 6 God.
Back in 2012, we were introduced to “Enough Said,” the first exhibition of a Drake and Aaliyah collaboration, along with the idea of a posthumous Aaliyah album. After the approval of the singer’s mother, it seemed the project had been underway but it was stopped after her family.
Timbaland who was her go to producer made sure to chime in on the project and said, “I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if (Drake) do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy (Elliot).
The track has been removed shortly after its surface on YouTube. Does this track mean the project is underway or even being featured on Drake’s new More Life project coming out this month?
What we do know is that we would love to hear more of this collaboration.
