The most “well-read city” rankings are out…where does Denver fall?

The annual ranking is determined by Amazon.com Inc., and calculated as a compilation of sales data from cities with more than 500,000 residents on a per capita basis and includes purchases of all books, magazines and newspapers in both Kindle and print format from April 2015 to April 2016.

  1. Seattle, WA.
  2. Portland, OR.
  3. Washington, DC
  4. San Francisco, CA
  5. Austin, TX
  6. Las Vegas, NV
  7. Tucson, AZ
  8. Denver, CO

Denver moves up to #8 in the rankings. The year prior the Mile High City was slotted in the #9 position.
