- Mary J. Blige to co-star in new Netflix show
Mary J. Blige is ready to spread her acting wings again. After two Academy Award nominations for Mudbound, Mary is turning her attention to a series.
Blige has been selected to co-star in a Netflix series called Umbrella Academy.
This will be her first regular television series role. The series is based on a comic book by Gerard Way.
Blige will play Cha-Cha. Her character is described as “a ruthless and unorthodox hit woman who travels through time to kill assigned targets. Her true love is torture and she thinks of herself as a ‘pain artist.'” The 10-episode drama does not have a premiere date.

3. LeBron James to produce new ‘House Party’
The House Party movie franchise will get a relaunch with some help from LeBron James.
James will produce a revival of House Party. Atlanta writers Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori will do the screenplay.
James told The Hollywood Reporter, “This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie.”
Do you think they will bring back any of the old characters as parents or uncles/aunties even though this is a new spin on the story? Which House Party movie was your favorite?
