After being social media silent for five months, Nicki Minaj is back, and making noise on the net by teasing the release of two singles this Thursday.
Yesterday, she posted a pic of her in a Fendi outfit with the message, “Chun Li Thursday 10amPst 1pmEst everywhere.” Then to add to the hysteria that post caused, she posted another picture of her in a ball gown with the caption, “#BarbieTingz Thursday 10amPst 1pmEst everywhere.”
These posts on Instagram come after she took to Twitter to post and delete the numbers “4” and “3” that had fans thinking new music is on the way. Minaj said in an interview last year that her next album would be “a billion times more epic than anything ‘Anaconda’ could have delivered.”
We will find out on Thursday afternoon if these songs are the beginning of that promise.
Are you ready to hear Nicki’s new music? Do you think this is going to effect Cardi’s popularity at all?
2. Series based on ‘Boomerang’ coming to BET
BET is prepping a reboot TV series based on the 1992 film Boomerang.
Boomerang starred Eddie Murphy, Halle Berry, Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, David Alan Grier and Robin Givens.
According to BET, the reinterpretation of the movie will tackle “contemporary workplace dynamics, including the changing role of gender, office politics, relationships and the conflicts between Generation X and millennials.”
There’s no official start date, writer or producer. It’s also not known whether any of the original cast members will reprise their roles in the series version.
Do you want Hollywood to leave the classics alone?
