Woman Tries To Kill Her Husband Over Medical Marijuana

A woman tried to kill her husband after he told her he wanted to use medical marijuana

Palma A. Conrad, 70, of PA is accused of stabbing her husband with a knife in the chest, face, and neck because he wanted to use medical marijuana.

Her husband, Richard Conrad told police that he was asleep in the living room when his wife started stabbing him. He said that he punched her to get her to stop stabbing him.

When officers arrived at the home Monday morning, Palma had a black eye as well as blood on her face, arms, and hands.

Richard was lying on the floor completely covered in blood. He was flown to a nearby hospital and was said to be in stable condition.

Mrs. Conrad told police she and her husband got into an argument when he told her that he wanted to start using medical marijuana. She said she was upset and “sick of it.” She said she waited until he fell asleep and then “got a knife and stabbed him and decided to kill him.” That’s when her husband tried to stop her and punched her.

During the stabbing and the struggle with her husband she apparently lost the knife so she also used scissors and a large butcher knife to stab him.

Palma also told police that she had thought about killing her husband for over a month and was “disappointed” to know he was still alive.

$100,000 bail with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 7.
